Straying away from that formula should be awarded. That's why Dark Horse is the most trend-setting song of her career. Anyone who needs a bridge or a chorus in a song in order to appreciate it is simple-minded.

So the only way she's allowed to be experimental is by dropping the bridge, she can't rearrange songs in any other way, for the rest of her career she's banned from doing bridges? I am NOT gonna congratulate her for being lazy and replacing bridges with a series of either noises, repeating words or music. Especially not when she has proven time and time again that her bridges are the best parts of her songs, that's just ridiculous. At least replace it with a third verse or something.
Sorry for not finding "Roar. Oar. Roar. Oar. Rooaaaarrrr" or "Ah-ooh....... Legendary Lovers, Legendary Lovers, Legendary Lovers.... " as sonically appealing as her earlier middle 8s, I guess. (Though LL has pretty good music instead of words so I can deal there.)
Mess at you thinking Dark Horse is an example though, that simply replaced the bridge with a (terrible) rap. About as experimental as California Gurls with regards to song structure.
