Okay after reviewing this lovely site (I honestly hope this stuff can come into fruition soon) I still have my reservations about renewable energy today.
For all of this energy to be produced don't you need very large areas of land to harvest? I'm sure in empty states like Wyoming that would be be that big of a problem but there are some states that just don't have that space. And not to mention the amount of money to research and manufacture. Again, with our current success rate of solar panels and such we just can't rely on it to meet our demands. We'd need to research to make them better but that can cost a lot of money.
And I read that in places with heavy rain (say Seattle) can decrease production of said energy. That city is huge so if you don't have the energy needed for a big city then I wouldn't rely on it 100% at this time. And imagine a city that's undergoing a lot of climate change and their structure of climate is totally different in a few decades. All of that investment for operations that don't even work anymore

I like it but it's not something we can use JUST YET which is why I support Hillary in terms of having more research done into it so we can be there one day, just not today.
