I am worried that the single loses all its positive effect on the album if it drops too fast now and the album won't be out for the next weeks.

Imagine the album would not have been postponed! It wwould be out next week and we would probably have the second single by now. But instead it looks like there will be a huge gap.They will have to start from scrath with marketing, I'm afraid.

I'm so DONE with this era. I'm so sick of how terribly it's going. I don't think the album is even coming out this year with all the heavy competition. And another problem for me is that Bieber and Rihanna are going to release albums this year too so I am concerned that IDJ will focus on them instead of Mariah.

#Beautiful had a good run and put Mariah back into the limelight but Mariah/her team & label has ruined all that and the hype is gone. I don't see how the era will be able to do good anymore.

I still love her though. It just frustrates me that this is happening. Even when she had three years of work and it got postponed, WTF.

I completely agree with you, they had momentum and hype to build on and they've just let it die. This era is just an endless list of missed opportunities and disappointments so far and I'm sick of it.

Don't exaggerate! As you said yourself, they started well, the one thing that went wrong was the delay of the album.

Exactly....I know she got hurt and needs to heal her arm and rib, but seriously three years and she can't finish an album....I guess that's the mind of an ARTIST, you have to allow their creativity to flow without any limits such as time...I just don't get what's the point of artists nowadays, releasing a single, then an album like a year later, and Mariah is not the only one look at artists like Avril, JLo, they released singles around the same time as Mariah yet their albums are nowhere to be found in the near future. Some artists can finish an album in less than six months in some cases, there has to be some kind of time limitation on the creative process time period, they can't just take that long to become inspired and create their Materpiece, it has to be nearly perfect, but it won't be perfect anyways.

That's kind of the feeling I'm getting is that she will wait until November, which makes perfect business sense for releasing around the Holidays, but the timing of the release is going to be bad for her as GAGA and many other popular acts will release that same month....I really love Mariah and am hoping for a #1 for her, but I at this point I just want the album and am not as concerned about a #1 album....She has already proven herself and is a Living Legend, so anything we get from now on is just icing on the cake!

I truly do NOT comprehend her and her team right now. Are they that seriously stupid? Why are they pushing it to be released that late? And especially when there is heavy competition against Gaga, Rihanna, Bieber, and probably One Direction. That'll take away almost all of the sales/attention she would have.

They should've been pushing a second single immediately when #B was peaking. But instead, we're getting a push for the remixes that are doing absolutely nothing? Gurl...

Like I said, I'm so OVER this era. I'd rather if we didn't have an album coming out and pretend #Beautiful didn't come out so we could start over and let Mariah/IDJ redeem themselves from their horrible mistakes. I mean, gurl had more than three years of work and it's still not ready.
