My local radio station has a thing called 'Workplace 9@9' where workplaces can submit any 9 hit songs (+ 2 back ups) to be played from 9-10am. I don't work at a conventional workplace so they'd never pick my list, plus I wouldn't want to expose myself. So said my name was Mia and I worked at a local business. I even included the business' phone number and made up names for other employees.
I did this on Sunday night though not thinking it would work and it didn't get played on Monday so I just figured they chose not to play it. But I was doing something out the back at work and when I came up the front (where the radio is) I heard "Shower" by Becky G, a song I requested, and I was so confused, and just assumed somebody else had suggested it. Then the next song was "TOTGA" and knew it was my playlist. After TOTGA finished they were like, "Now today's playlist is a great one by Mia from [insert business here], we're loving this one Mia!" They didn't play all of the songs I suggested (idk, I guess they couldn't for some reason) but they played 8 of them and "Am I Wrong" by Nico & Vinz as a filler.
My playlist:
Whip It by LunchMoney Lewis and Chloe Angelides (I missed this one, but I heard it later on anyway)
Shower by Becky G
The One That Got Away by Katy Perry (requested as a back up for Walking On Air)
Shake That by Samantha Jade and Pitbull
Am I Wrong by Nico & Vinz (played instead of Run Away With Me by Carly )
Ain't Been Done by Jessie J
Wings by Delta Goodrem
Take It Off by Ke$ha (requested as a back up for C'Mon)
Start Again by Conrad Sewell
You lied and brought a bad reputation to a business just for a playlist with Katy in it
Why did you do Walking On Air though? and not a single?
I have no idea why Run Away With Me is being snubbed by so many radio stations. I remember seeing it floating inthe top 150 on iTunes for a while in Australia and thinking it was gonna take off but it never did
I do love OOTB but there's no denying that PRISM was a more successful album / era overall and it is only fair that it outsells it. Plus PRISM is my favourite Katheryn album.
