Her vocals during the chorus could be stronger like in 'Russian Roulette'. Overall it's an alright song but definately not a single worthy, especially the lead one.
Diamonds is actually giving me Rihanna's Ray of Light teas. It's the closest she's been to deeper, more atmospheric material since Rated R. It's radio friendly, but it still has a serious tone to it, and isn't as radio friendly as her past first singles.

...And I'm not getting what Rih meant by the song sounding "hippie" and overly happy. Sure, it's hopeful, but it's like the perfect song for fall weather. It doesn't give me sunny teas, it sounds like such a night time anthem to me. I want to play this on blast in my car when I'm driving late at night.
