May:
Pitch Perfect 2 - 88%, B+
Has some more "awkward" comedy than the first, and not as sharp of a soundtrack, but still pulls everything off with the cast we've loved from the original.

Project Almanac - 93%, A-
Really loved this movie and I'm surprised to see how underrated it is. I was fully intrigued throughout the whole thing. The concept obviously isn't realistic, but the characters work nicely together, there's several intense scenes, and there's even a few tears to be shed.
Jurassic World - 55%, F+
How this is not only fresh on Rotten Tomatoes but also one of the highest grossing films of all time is truly beyond my comprehension. I've only seen the first Jurassic Park movie so I'm not a massive fan of the series but this still looked great, and unfortunately I was wrong. The pacing is off, the subplots were useless, there were several boring parts, and the whole magic and adventure that the original had is significantly absent.
July:
San Andreas - 91%, A-
It's not far from your typical disaster movie, but damn was this great to see in theaters. It definitely feels like you're part of the experience and the special effects are really top notch. Not only that, you're also invested in all the characters and they're all likable enough to guide you through the chaos.
Home - 64%, D
Honestly I mainly just saw this (online, luckily) for Rihanna, as I've kinda given up on most kid's movies as I feel I've gotten too old for them (other than Disney/Pixar.) It wasn't that bad but it did feel pretty basic and rushed. I didn't care much for the characters, I didn't really care too much about what happened to them, and the comedy was just too juvenile for me.
Smosh: The Movie - 19%, F-
Someone remind me to never watch a YouTuber movie again (other than the cute Camp Takota). I love YouTube and I love(d) Smosh, but this was absolute garbage. Just like the disappointing Not Cool with Shane Dawson (one of my top faves from the site), this tries way too hard to cram the creators' personalities down your throat while giving corny acting, cornir jokes and several truly abysmal scenes. The only reason I saw the whole thing was because I was watching online with a friend and we were making fun of it all the way through. Stick to the videos, guys (not that those are too great either, nowadays.)
August:
Mission: Impossible - 75%, C
A decent start to the franchise, but has some very confusing missions and a few overlonging scenes. Though I must commend that ICONIC and intense vault scene for being a major highlight.
Mission: Impossible II - 63%, D-
Slightly less confusing than the original, and has a better cast, but even more boring sections and cheesiness.
Mission: Impossible III - 94%, A
An extremely well done action film. From the nail-biting opening down to the heartwarming ending, it hooked me in all the way through.
Mission: Impossible 4 – Ghost Protocol - 92%, A-
Another amazing chapter from the series as we get some new, valuable additions to the team, a little more comedic relief, and some new stunts that'll leave your heart pounding. Also, the special effects in the hallway scene were jaw-droppingly stunning.
Mission: Impossible 5 – Rogue Nation - 85%, B
(I'm gonna need another viewing of this since I saw it yesterday and fell asleep for maybe 10 minutes during it, but it was only because I was tired.) Another thrill-seeking MI movie that ups the stakes and has more villains to deal with, but it doesn't necessarily match its two predecessors.
