fridayteenage has a point. It's kinda weird that single sales/streaming kinda count for double in record "sales" now. The single itself + in the SPS of an album. I kinda think it would make more sense to have the sales of an album + the SPS of all the non-singles count. I don't think an artist like Flo Rida should be getting high peaks on the 200 when no one cares about his album.
Its a popularity chart first and a sales chart second. Streams generate revenue for the label and artist. They should absolutely be counted. Product usage should be factored into the chart position. Additionally, do you know how many streams have to happen to equal 1 album sale?

Yeah, but it's much easier and cheaper to stream than it is to actually buy it. I still don't really think listening to the single means the album is more popular. Why not save all that info and combine it for the artist chart? That literally shows everything about the artist's recent popularity.
I didn't read the whole thread but is this the first album in Billboard chart history to hit #1 with only 17,000 Full album sales. Number seems so low its scary.
It's a perfect time to get an easy #1 album. Just look at Gwen getting her first #1 album with a flop era.
Shakira. would have easily been #1 on a week like this too. It's all about the competition.
Just look at One Direction, they were #2 with huge sales but they were against a bigger competition.
Okay ladies now let's get information because clearly the Hive is sipping some Bubbling Under Tea.. and Needed Me will smash alongside B6, so there's no need for us to shade each other.
In case y'all haven't been woke in 2016:
-releases on Beyonce + Jay Z's streaming service, all hope was lost. Most singles/albums that release on Tidal flop completely.
-album goes instantly platinum due to a corporate deal with Samsung and 1+ million downloads*
