Unofficial name maybe? I don't know, but seriously Creatures is miles better than a lot of the snippets I have heard. Creatures is a haunting song that shows a lot of emotion. I bet Phillip may have wanted it on the album, but of course the label might have thought the song was not good enough for a commercial pop rock album.

I love Creatures so much but i don't think it'll be on this album maybe another one lol

Because previous Idols (Carrie, Adam Lambert, etc) use old hits when performing with contestants. Some use their current single to promote while others don't.

Phillip is such a troll. He was in twitter basically suggesting he was going to give us a song yesterday and then he says "let's do this tomorrow".

Edit: but as you said it would be incredibly stupid to not use a song from the new album to promote the album.

Hey Bilolo do you have the info about RF airplay for the past two weeks? I swear I think it was at like 27 AI two weeks ago and now is just at 29 AI. If that's true then at least the song has stayed in the mid 100s and not free fallen

Raging Fire is actually doing great. You are right in that it has basically stayed stagnant in radio updates, with a slow climb for the past week or so.

I'd laugh if this song turns into a Counting Stars type-hit

Yeah the snippets were taken off

I was listening to them on Best Buy website and they also took them down there. The album was already released in several countries, so what I did was change my itunes store to South Africa and was able to listen to 1 and a half minute snippets.

Yeah he is local, doesn't have much presence outside of US and Canada. I think he is kinda successful in South Africa.

I guess she has a different perspective of what is considered local. I do agree with you, he is local. He does chart in several countries, but very low and in countries were iTunes doesn't sell much.

Idk if I hate it or love it. They completely commercialized it which is what sucks, but I love the acoustic version. Wish they kept it like that.

Probably a strong contender for the second single.

Simply amazing. I can tell this is going to be one of my favs. Love the "highhh highh highhh" part. The coldplay-type chorus feeling I get. Wowww.

Another amazing song. Loved that little musical part.

Probably my favorite song off this album.

Unpack Your Heart
Definite second-single material. Magical chorus. Love the "ooohhhh I'm on your side" part.

Midnight Sun

Another second-single contender. Love the production.

My Boy
Love it. Nothing special though.

Don't Trust Me
Wish he put her umph in his voice while singing this song. Was thinking this would be a type of "Get Up, Get Down" song, but it kinda falls flat. I like the 007 type of feeling before the chorus though

Armless Crawler
Another great song. Exceptional production.

Overall:

Unfortunately, I can already feel that this did not surpass his debut album. I think his label needs to stop pushing him so much into commercializing, because it just ends up as another Home 3.0 or a Gone, Gone, Gone 3.0 and people are here for Phillip expanding his music, not rehashing.

They let him do that with several songs on this album, like "Fly" but it just seemed a bit all over the place tbh.
