I definitely overestimated Gaga and underestimated Katy. I hope Gaga Will be able to rebound with either Applause eventually or just move on to single #2

It's true. The single won't be officially sent to radio until 8/19. Idk why, but Lady Gaga just tweeted it and it still shows up as a radio add for 8/19. I guess this week was just a bonus week?

Sadly, when the single is released to radio & when it has the highest sales will not be in the same week.

Still, Katy Perry fans are worried about the wrong song lol "Blurred Lines" is the song with 230 million audience impressions AND climbing on the iTunes charts again...

It isn't.

I can see Katy Perry reaching #2 and being held off by "Blurred Lines" just like "Blurred Lines" held off One Direction's HUGE start.

It'll be irritating because until Robin Thicke starts declining in airplay, he might have a lock at #1 for awhile... PLUS, he's performing the damn song at the VMA's which will bring in more sales AND more airplay AND more streaming.

Applause has had less than a week of sales are ya'll are already calling it a flop? It still has the actual release date it was promoted as that the GP will purchase it on, the video premiering on GMA, the VMA performance and the iTunes festival. I can't at some of the Kats constantly bringing up Gaga in conversation, that just proves that you are afraid of her power. #1 WW >> #1 on US iTunes

I'm completely fine with Gaga not having a #1 with Applause if it's going to have longevity.
