"Strangest Feeling" was just a taste of what we were going to expect for Devotion. It was actually one of the first singles released from this era but somehow it was not included on the LP. The track has very soothing vocals on the chorus, some hardhitting synths and bass. A strange/interest part of the song is actually the male vocals following up after Jessie's.

This is quite a short track. It's about nostalgia for a past love. Frank uses the idea of “Sierra Leone" and its pink skies as a metaphor to symbolize how beautiful things may be, maybe from his childhood, from sex or even a newborn. It's very unique; It starts off with a spoken-word and transitions into Frank delivering a verse in a rap-like manner.

A favorite of mines. The instruments are great; the drums and keyboard. I hear some Smokey Robinson ("Quiet Storm") influence too. The songs lyrics doesn't give you a clear understanding but it appears to be about the day and the life of being a male rock star and coping with their distrations - troubled female groupies. Frank thinks they can do better!.
