Final 3, kind of hating this show now.
Round One – Davis picks. - Winner of this round: Katherine
Elliot – 5.6/10- Right off the bat, both he and Davis failed this one. Clive picked a crappy song trying to show Elliot’s more powerful vocals, which wasn’t even met by E. (This is the final 3, take risks or go home.) This was an OK performance, but this wasn’t worth sending E to the finals. On top of that, Corey (from S2) did a hell of a better job with the song. (And he got kicked off the show!) Not a good way to start. Elliot could’ve had it!
Katherine – 8.7/10- Wow, she looked beautiful. Having heard this song dozens of times, (Especially now, with Graduation coming up) she did one of the better female renditions of the big R.Kelly/SpaceJam classic. I agree with Simon, she kinda had a moment there, Katherine was a diva on stage. And wtf Randy?
Take the song choice issue up with Clive. And why isn’t Clive at the judges table tonight? I liked how Katherine was able to stand up for herself towards the judges.
Taylor – 5.6/10 – LOL! For a moment there I thought I was looking at 2 old senior citizens discussing old times during that clip. But no, it was just Grandpa and Clive Davis. Taylor is a good guy with a vibrant personality, but this was ugly. Why? It’s because of his singing voice. He does not have the best texture for an artist recording voice. – (Which is paart of what the contestants are competing for) He’s been having everything else down, but I don’t want to hear him singing on a CD or on the radio. The guy is a showboat, not a recording artist. But it was cool to see him pull Paula up on stage.
Round 2 – Judges Pick – Winner of this round: Katherine
Elliot – Paula – 5.1/10 – Again, Elliot failed, and I hate saying this. Paula failed at song choice big time, which imparted Elliot’s downfall. The entire performance was semi-finals top 24 crap. E has a great capable set of vocals, but this song wasn’t for him at the current stage of the game.
Katherine – Simon – 9.45/10 – I wanna hug her, that was cool, she can destroy the Soul Train!
That makes me happy. Simon and Katherine nailed this. She looked kind of hot too. Congrats to her, I really would like to see her next week. And if I heard right from Clive, there will be a CD from Katherine? This could be good. At this point, Katherine is the only one who can save this dismal season.
Taylor – Randy - 6/10 – I liked the way Taylor first approached the song (acting shy/ashamed), but he didn’t continue to entirely use that emotion throughout his performance. But it was a triumphant effort nonetheless, but I hated some of his vocals in the song. He was still sort of ugly to me. He could’ve been better, but this was one of his better performances. But without a doubt, the Soul Train will now be unstoppable.
Round 3 – Contestant’s choice – Winner: Katherine
Elliot- 8.1/10 – There’s E people! This was the best performance out of the 3 he did tonight. I liked this one. He took some vocal risks, which should’ve been done in thee first two rounds. WTF Paula? “No one can connect with your song.” Please, nobody could connect with your song choice for Elliot.
Overall, it was good, I wish he could’ve brought the same flavor and risks sooner though. Very likely, this dude is goin home. I echo Simon’s statements, he did well this season. Best of life to him.
Katherine – 8.2/10 – I thought this was an all right performance. I could understand her reasons for picking that song, especially with the way the judges have been ganging up on her sometimes this season. If anything else, she looked quite hot again. Katherine will very well end up in the final 2.
Taylor – 5.3/10 – It’s amazing to observe the people aboard the “Soul Train.” They only give a dam about Taylor’s personality, not his musical talent abilities, which are miniscule to Chris’s. This performance was a normal Taylor performance. He sang it with his half-arsed singing vocals, while flopping around stage. I blame the Soul Train and the people behind AI for this performance.
Seen it before, hated it, so what?
Should be top 2: Chris and Katherine.
Will be top 2: Grandpa and Kitty Kat

-I saw Chris on Ellen today. He gave a great acoustic performance of Dead or Alive. He was cool overall.
