I think any pollster worth something, would move to add a higher republican turn out into their models. It's not like people haven't been saying for months now that Democrats will probably have a lower turn out that in 2008. First thing about statistics is to adapt your model.
If the polls are wrong, so be it, but I doubt very much that they didn't take a lower turn out into consideration. Basis statistics.
