if Can't Stop the Feeling! outsells Make Me this week
the fact that it sold more in each of its first ten weeks than Make Me during its opening week

What a mess.
Well, Katy at least have the support of her fans, but Britney? I feel bad for her
Btw Make Me is better than her last four lead singles tbh.

ACTUALLY
Drake also released a buzz single for Views called Summer Sixteen in February that debuted with 215,000 in sales.

You have to make it about Katy, not Britney, just like everyone else Duca.

"Rise" is a much bigger decline from "Roar" than "Applause" was from "Born This Way", so...

Tragic numbers overall.
There's no excuse here. Adele pulled over 1,1 million a couple of months ago, JT pulled over 300k with a soundtrack single, Drake, Sia and other artists were selling more than this on weekly basis in the past couple of weeks.

This is Katy's third flop in a row so they are just trying to justify it in any possible way.
We should all show some compassion.

Music market has changed for everyone, not just Katy, and she just went from top5 biggest debut sales, to not even making it into the top10. I mean she has a The Voice contestant outselling her...

Welp, there you have it, kids. Big numbers are still very possible in 2016, no matter what the Kats say. So what's their excuse now? If JT can have the biggest sales week of the year with a soundtrack song, the argument about Rise not being her first single goes right out the window, as well. So why is Rise underperforming so badly?

And dead @ people who think this is tragic for Katy.
First of all, Digital sales are rapidly declining literally EVERY DAY.
Second, #1 song in America barely sold 90k last week. Get it? It only takes 90k in sales to be #1. Just 2 years ago that wasn't enough even for a top 10 debut. Sales are dead.
Katy is doing great, promo single or not. The numbers are fine. The single will have longevity and the people who dragged her now will look like fools.
