A throwaway dance track. Trying too hard to be an anthem with that wonky production, but it's a cute bop.

The song is legitimately an 8/10, but I gave it a 10 because I knew some of you hoes would do it wrong. A really really beautiful & nice song. Tasteless *****.

"Thinking About You" was released in 1985 as the second single from her debut album. It showed that black radio was there for her way before pop stations fell in love with "Saving All My Love" and other songs. The single was a top 10 R&B hit, but it was not promoted as a single to Top 40 radio station. Interestingly, while the single had no official video, its b-side, "Someone For Me", actually had one made (which can be found these days online). For some reason this single also appeared as the B-side to conatus's favourite, "Greatest Love of All."


Quick comments: conatus feels that the "mixing hinders this one a bit because the production is really nice, her voice just sounds really distant on it in places. The "I'm just a lovesick fool" part, though >". And while Nightingale had "never heard this before [he felt that] her debut singles are slaying so hard right now."
