Chart Notes: New chart design!!! It took me some time and I accidentally closed my browser once last night as I was working on my chart ( I almost quit this update all together since I did it right at the end of the update and it had taken me forever to get to that point and to figure out table coding). It's a little crooked for now due to the long song titles I think, but I'll worry about that later. My chart has been in some serious need of redesigning and I am happy with the change for now.
As far as the actual music goes, Pitbull has a number 1 here! Globalization is far from his best work, but Time Of Our Lives is nice enough. This is Pitbull's second top 10 after Fireball charted last year. Sam Hunt also does well on the top 10 with two new entries; bringing up his total entries from Montevallo up to 3. In addition Major Lazer nabs their first entry since the debut of my chart with All My Love. I've been looking for new stuff to listen to since I have forbade myself from buying new music and I redownloaded the Hunger Games Mockingjay soundtrack Also, Father John Misty rises, I love the lyrics to his song; they're a mess
The album chart sees the debut of Catfish & The Bottlemen (thanks prezli for that one). They actually were blocked from a debut last week, but have raked in enough plays to debut this week. This week, that album also became certified gold and I have updated my OP with certifications (the first time since I rebooted my countdown). Luke Bryan and Sam Hunt clean up nicely this week as did country music as a whole. In addition, Sam Hunt takes the top spot for albums, but Luke wasn't too far behind. See Celebrate, Luke still going strong two years later Crash My Party anytime indeed.
Anyway, thanks everyone for following along. Maybe next week, I'll try something else out here or have some new stuff as I may be buying new music again... Stay tuned
Bloomers, I just got your chart info for the YTT update. You sure are great. You clearly are the best like no one ever was I wish I could be more like Jackson
Nice chart I like all your songs 10/10

Thanks for noticing the redesign. I finished it the other night and closed out my browser window, lost it, and had to redo Glad I revamped things here and made this chart spiffier. It's needed it.
I'm laughing out loud at Sam Hunty
One of my faves will be #1 next week. But which one
Also, I'm pretty sure I will never tire of That's My Kind of Night. It's that kind of song.

Chart Notes: Ok! second week into the new chart design and I'm liking it so far. I'm still fine-tuning and streamlining things here, but it's coming together and I couldn't be happier. Oh and credit to Celebrate, I liked you ideas of embedding song links in your song titles so I will begin doing that (holy cow, Africa is an amazing song, I'm glad I checked it )
Speaking of being happier, on a personal note; my music listening varies based on my general mood during the week. Generally speaking, if I'm feeling down, I'll play a lot of upbeat pop music; if I'm happier, I tend to listen to slower, or less poppy, music. It's not always that case, but that's just the general rule here. I do realize that conflicts with my Top 2 somewhat but they make since. I love All My Love's euphoric sound, it's a song that sounds like it's bouncing on the top of cloudy mountains I don't know, and Time Of Our Lives is about living in the moment and Major Lazer, Ariana Grande, and Pitbull are favorites of mine.
This week, we see a chart that is pretty split: one indie song with the Father John Misty track, two electronic dance-pop songs with the Major Lazer and Pitbull songs, the acoustic-led Ciara, Rihanna, One Direction songs, the R&B Tinashe song, and the rock-tinged AWOLNATION song. Typically, I don't listen to rock often anymore and usually do when I'm happier so it's nice to see a mainstream-rock song debut here for the first time in a long time (if ever).
Just a second to talk about Hollow Moon (Bad Wolf), the song is a little on the overblown side, but it definitely works. It's like if Linkin Park was a lot more aggressive and emo with much less melodic and hip-hop overtones. It's a good song if you're into that kind of thing and it gets the Bloom seal of approval® The lead singer, Aaron Bruno, also put out an album in 2002 as the group Hometown Hero which is one of my favorite albums so It's definitely nice to see a familiar face, musically speaking.
The singles chart also sees debuts from Alexandra Burke, One Direction, and Tinashe. I got to thank Celebrate for the Alexandra Burke recommendation. He mentioned her the other day, directed me to Soundcloud where I could listen to and download the song, and I've been hooked since. Thanks Celebrate, I guess we have a lot of overlapping taste because I don't think I've been let down by a single thing you've recommended. One Direction have been dominating from the background. Their album Midnight Memories clicked with me and I checked out Four and have been consistently playing it, but they don't always chart here.
As far as the recurrents go, Luke Bryan's That's My Kind Of Night never gets old I could dance along to that all night, and sing loudly in my car whenever I have it.Also, I got a couple Ciara classics here in addition to her current hit so she's doing well.
As far as the albums go, one of my main favorites tops the album chart yet again! Lady Gaga becomes the first artist to have all of her albums chart here (yes, even Drake has yet to do so as his debut has not yet charted). If she releases an album this year, you all will see the extend I will stan. Just wait!
Importantly, this is one of the few charts that has lacked a Drake song or feature. His two remaining singles feel off the chart. I currently am taking a break from his music to avoid burnout. He should be back in around 2 weeks or so.
The chart has stagnated somewhat if you haven't noticed. I stopped buying new music (the only way I obtain music unless we're talking free and legal downloads like from this site or mixtapes). I gave up buying new music for Lent and it's been difficult. But after Easter this Sunday, I will be back to getting new music more often. Look for Luke Bryan, Sufjan Stevens, and Kendrick Lamar specifically in the next week or two!
Anyway, thanks again prezli for the Catfish album, they will do well on my Quarter 1 Best of that I will publish this weekend. I also am hoping to track my songs charting history and provide that week-to-week as well.
Anyway, thanks for reading (I had a lot on my mind this week) and your always appreciated comments.
Edit: I just realized that I had a major Lazer song on my very first chart. #nostalgia
