It would've been okay if Tsipras didn't say anything and just let the people decide, but he was rooting for a NO and in the end got chastised by the EU, had several members of his coalition abstain from voting for a new deal while the atmosphere outside Parliament was somber that day when it passed I read. Not really. We wanted Greece to stop their ignorance and get off their asses to get rid of their problems. One way of solving that was a Grexit and it seemed like that was the only way for a few days.

That&s entirely unsure yet, as long as Greek parliament hasn't approved all the changes the EU wants approved this week there's still risk of a GrExit, which will be inevitable if they don't approve it

All in all we're not sending that much money there, as they will have to give a deposit of €50billion to the EU so they can pay back part of the loans. This is a better solution than a GrExit, even for the Greeks, though they won't see it that way right now. In the long term this helps them more than a GrExit tbh and Europe got ha revenge for Tsipras' games
