I honestly thought that all of Ed Sheeran's singles were overrated. Don't isn't anything special and neither is Thinking Out Loud. This song, being my favorite Ed Sheeran song, is sadly the most underrated one. This song is beautiful, which Thinking Out Loud isn't. It reminds me of Slipped Away from Avril Lavigne's Under My Skin album. This song is just so genuine and sad and THIS song doesn't feel like a JT ripoff.
Final appearance of Ed Sheeran
29. Marlisa - Stand By You
I honestly didn't pay attention to X Factor Australia 2014, because the lineup was very weak, aside from Reigan Derry. I was mad that Marlisa survived over her when they were in the bottom two but I was glad she won over the annoying trash that was in the Top 3 with her. The first girl from that category to win. The youngest girl to win the show, and my second favorite song by a 1999 baby behind Melodies by Madison Beer. This song is actually really nice and a much better song than Dami Im's winner single. However, nothing will top Samantha's winner single. Marlisa's is a close second. I'm not a fan of hers but I wish her the best of luck with her career.

28. Niykee Heaton - Sober
And here is Niykee Heaton's second song. They are the strongest songs on her EP by far. I can see why they got videos on her official Youtube. Niykee's voice is very sultry and it works well with the dark urban vibe of this song. I prefer her over Ryn Weaver, because I honestly don't see what is so special about her. Niykee however...I think she has potential to be white urban girl in 2015.
Final appearance of Niykee Heaton
27. Meghan Trainor - All About That Bass
A song that took the entire world by storm this year. Honestly, I just love how Meghan gave plus-size people empowerment. I'd rather have bass than treble anyway. This song regardless though is very catchy and unique and sassy. I know she got compared to Carly Rae Jepsen earlier, but honestly, I can see why Meghan is having a more successful start up than Carly Rae did. Meghan's personality has been shown throughout both of her videos and she has a lot of stage presence. Carly Rae didn't, as much as I love and prefer her. However, I hope Carly AND Meghan can both be successful in 2015.
Final appearance of Meghan Trainor
26. Taylor Swift - Blank Space
For me, the music video made this song come alive for me, but I honestly find it to be overrated by Swifties. Sure, it's a good song with a good chorus and a great music video, but I feel like 1989 had stronger tracks on it for me and Blank Space isn't even in my Top 5 best songs. I'm kind of burned out on it at this point, but it's still a good song.
Fifth of seven appearances by Taylor Swift
25. Cascada - Blink
I love how Cascada just keeps releasing music regardless of what happens. This song is really good. It's on par with Glorious for me. The song is also a bit inspirational too. And can I just say that Natalie Horler literally hasn't aged at all in the 9 years Cascada has been in the public eye? Maybe even 10? Yeah. She still looks the same. Anyways, this song deserved a high spot because it's just that good to me.
Final appearance of Cascada
24. Havana Brown - Ba*Bing
Ba*Bing came out in 2013 but didn't get an (insane) video until 2014. Regardless, I love it. The weather references bring out the nerd in me because I love weather but I'm also fierce and confident most of the time. Regardless, this song is very weird but in a good way, and the video is just so weird that it's actually good. I don't know. Havana honestly can do whatever because I'd prefer her weird videos over any of GaGa's weird videos because at least Havana is making good music.
Final appearance of Havana Brown
23. The Summer Set - Lightning In a Bottle
The Summer Set's only true 2014 single arrives at #23. Although I wish it got more than just a performance video. I was imagining a music video that had him on a road trip with a girlfriend and making out in the backseat late at night and going to some party out in the desert. Well, I guess Hedley's Heaven In Our Headlights is the closest I'll have to a music video that Lightning In a Bottle could've had. This song was still a good summer 2014 track for me.
Final appearance of The Summer Set
22. Tiesto - Red Lights
One of my Spring 2014 jams. I wish this song had been a hit over Wasted, because this song actually had a lot of magic in it that Wasted didn't. Generic maybe, but I liked it. Oh well, at least it charted on the Hot 100
21. Cash Cash f. Bebe Rexha - Take Me Home
And here we come to a song that I was really addicted to back in Spring. Bebe's voice really made this song glow. However, it sucks she has brown hair and blue eyes. I was expecting blonde hair and blue eyes
FInal appearance of Cash Cash. Only appearance of Bebe Rexha
I honestly never thought a Lea Michele song would place this high on any of my Best of lists, but On My Way changed that. It's literally one of the catchiest songs of the year, with such a pumping chorus and driving verses. It was made to be a hit but it unfortunately didn't. My only other complaint is that she sounds like Lil from Rugrats on this song
Only appearance by Lea Michele
19. Dami Im - Gladiator
For me, this is Dami's best song. The production is flawless, as it really makes Dami's vocals shine and it sounds like a DAMI track, not anyone else's track. The music video was pretty decent too. X Factor Australia acts tend to get sucky videos, but this one matched the theme. I hope 2015 brings great things for Dami.
Final appearance by Dami Im
18. Samantha Jade - Soldier
I got banned before I had a chance to talk about my stanning for Samantha last year, but thankfully one of the songs from the Top 10 of 2013 still managed to go Top 20 in 2014. It was a late release in 2013, so it stayed in my chart all the way up through May of 2014. Out of Samantha's EDM songs, this one is the best. The beat gets stuck in your head and creates an intense atmosphere. The song is also very relatable, as I know now from being in this situation currently with my boyfriend. If I had to be honest, it amazes just how many relationship songs actually have their lyrics come to life once you've experienced what they are talking about. Soldier is one of them. I wish it was been a worldwide hit for her, but I know she's scarred from her time in the US.
One of three appearances by Samantha Jade
17. Miley Cyrus - Wrecking Ball
Yep, my favorite song of 2013 still made the Top 20 of 2014. It's THAT amazing of a song. Not as amazing as Drive, but it's up there. To me, this song was still impactful in 2014. It was on my countdown all the way up until May of 2014. 39 weeks on my countdown I believe. What sealed its position was her VOTY win, which in all honesty, proves Wrecking Ball deserved to be on this year's list too. It gave my fave her first VMA and the biggest award you can actually achieve as well from that show. Plus, the song is just so emotional and you can tell how much her relationship with Liam affected her.
Final appearance of Miley Cyrus
16. Taylor Swift - This Love - no audio because her label is annoying
A song that is terriblty underrated by fans and ATRLers. The song is very beautiful, calm and serene all throughout and it just makes me want to be by the ocean as I listen to this. It's a sad song, but it also gives you hope. Some loves really do come back if you let them go.
Sixth of seven appearances by Taylor Swift
15. Samantha Jade - Up!
As generic as this song is for Samantha, it came out at the right time for an American to get into, but at the wrong time for an Australian to get into. I think this song unfortunately ruined the interest people had left in her, because this song literally could have been sung by anybody, as catchy as it is. This song however was still a staple of my spring and summer of 2014. It's perfect for those seasons.
Second of three appearances by Samantha Jade
14. Cher Lloyd - Human
For someone whose high school popularity just exploded out of nowhere like mine did, it took a song like this to finally just leave it behind me - 2 years after graduating. I know that sounds pathetic of me I know, but you wouldn't have believed me unless you went to school with me. I left my mark so hugely that the following year after graduating, the kids that still went to that school would take pics of me as I was walking the street. At some of the football games I'd comeback for, they'd chant my name in the school's cheer area (not cheerleaders btw). R Sully was my nickname with anyone that went to school with me during that four year period. I enjoyed my high school experience, but it did leave a few dark sides. I never really had a chance to let my emotions out when I was sad because I didn't know who to turn to because everyone always saw me as a happy person. It wasn't until 2014 that I actually confided in friends I trusted when I had problems. In addition, during those 4 years, I just didn't realized how bad my parent's relationship was or just how terrible I can come off as when meeting someone else's parents. I also think my dogs are what helped me bring me back down to earth as well as the fact that every year, another group of people I went to school with graduated. The final batch of kids graduates in 2015. I can honestly say I'm glad that for the most part, I can just put this R Sully era behind me, regardless of how great of an experience I had. They're good memories, but they're memories that I think will thankfully only stay with my friends and not the rest of the city.
This song helped me heal and just helped me let go of all those memories so that I can finally start writing a new chapter of my life. I'm still R Sully, but I'm only human and I honestly just want to be able to create new memories for myself. And I'm happy Cher Lloyd matured as well.
Final appearance of Cher Lloyd
13. Avril Lavigne - Hush Hush
For me, the Avril Lavigne era needed to end on good note, even if it meant treating a song as a single when it wasn't. Hush Hush was the perfect way to end the era for me. A beautiful song that honestly just means saying goodbye to a person you used to love and thought you would forever be with, but **** happens and it no longer is possible. It's a beautiful song and was always meant to be a closing track to the album, and for me, it gives me closure to the Avril Lavigne era. For such a flop it was, at least for me, I personally ended it with a high note
Final appearance of Avril Lavigne
12. Taylor Swift - Style
I'm certain this song will be in my Top 10 of 2015, so I had to stop myself from putting it into the Top 10 of 2014, but it would have ended up here regardless. Too much competiton. This song is my favorite song off 1989 and I'm sure it will be my favorite single this era as well. It's literally reminiscent and sad at the same time.
11. Fergie - L.A.Love (la la)
Just short of the Top 10 is my girl Fergie Ferg. I don't care what people think, she blew Gwen out of the water with her comeback. She actually used her BRAIN to make this song a moderate hit and have longetivity. #27 at the end of the day is much better than #46 on the Hot 100. Plus, she cannot go wrong with namedropping the area of California I live in. L.A. snatches everywhere else for me. Home is home. This song is a bop and always will be, even if I know Fergie can do better. Oh well. She worked the choreo and at 39 she knows she can still work a stage
