Wow, devastated by this. Her worst song yet. I was worried from the preview, but this sounds straight out of 2009. And the autotune... whoever decided that should be fired. The verses sound like some trash Future or Fetty Wap would do, and then the chorus is even more annoying. It's stupid of them to autotune her voice completely when her voice is her most recognizable feature. She sounds unique and they took that away.
Also, the reason that people are having meltdowns are because we had such high expectations. Bebe has literally never had a miss. Her EP was perfect (Pray, IGSYC, ICSDAY). Her features are perfect (MMI, Hey Mama). Her leaked songs are perfect (Cry Wolf, Atmosphere). Her demos are perfect (The Monster, MMI).
So the fact that her official "breakout" single is her worst song yet is very depressing. I agree it's not HORRIBLE, I would rate it a 6/10, but we (her fans) were expecting so much more.
I can't believe her label wasted a Nicki feature on this. They could have slapped Nicki on any of her EP songs, or Cry Wolf or Atmosphere and pushed that. Ugh.
All that said, I hope it's a hit as I love these two ladies!
And I hope she goes back to black hair.
I mean it's not amazing but it's still a cute bop and way better than trash I like IGSYC
