By the way, I finally had the time to read the second book and I would like to comment a couple of things:
It's not really that much more optimistic than the first one, he really had to deal with his "monsters" after the coming out too.
And I don't understand how could he have written L'Amore E' Una Cosa Semplice for another singer if he really wrote it on a beach in Sardinia and chose it as the title track since late 2010 :/ |
Yesterday I even went to check if it was possible to take a flight to Sicily for one of the last concerts
but no, it's enough, I can't be too crazy.
I know, the second book has a lot of depressing stuff in it as well. It's probably more noticeable because he took out all of the good stuff (basically his first love story) to protect the privacy of his bf and because it'd have been kinda tacky. Still, I wish he had written more about the creation of the album. I need to read it again but I remember a lot of entries that were just vague rambling, especially in 2011.
I also don't understand that at all. Maybe some stuff was lost in translation or he is making stuff up in the foreign press.
The song is so specific to him.
I've learned to appreciate the last three but this one is just too dumb. I really hate the last half of it.
