^ Not the case. It was a creative decision, not a business one. Words from her mouth. Absolutely NO fillers on this album.

THIS IS SOME CRAZY ****!!!!
Alright, about a week ago I left for a youth conference in the Bahamas (where I had ZERO internet access), I got back last night, got online, and to my surprise the ENTIRE B2B cd had leaked..... THIS IS SOME CRAZY ****, lol. Thank God my brother managed to dl the album before RCA took any sort of action. I heard that they were shutting down entire forums which had links to the album, and rightfully so. Nevertheless, I got my chance to hear it and all I can say is...
WHAT A ****ING ALBUM!!!!
Just when you thought "popular" music was at it's worst... Just when you thought conventional music was at this point of no return... Just when you thought music in general was on this neverending declining slope to hell, here comes Christina Aguilera. I mean, with this album Xtina almost single handedly redefines what good mainstream music should sound like. And that voice.... Gosh it's incredible!!! Like a few others have mentioned elsewhere in this thread, I think her voice is better now then it has ever been. These disc definately catapults Christina into a class of her own when it comes to singing.
Before coming here and reading some of you guy's almost perfect reviews of the album (which almost NEVER happens on ATRL), I had the chance to go and read what others thought on different MBs. And I swear, for every 1 person that disliked it, there were about a gazillion others that were praising it! And let me tell you, Christina definately deserves all the praise and accolades that she has already recieved, and will recieve in the future.
And now that that is out of the way, here are some of my favorite tracks...
Save Me From Myself - Whoever said that Christina couldn't use soft vocals and still be entrancing? I am in love with the simplicity of this track, and Aguilera sings with such emotion. She truly makes you feel what she is singing about! She also has a beautiful falsetto, which she doesn't use very often since she is always screaming at the top of her lungs, lol. But yeah, beautiful voice, beautiful lyrics, beautiful song.
Makes Me Wanna Pray - WHOA WHOA WHOA WHOA WHOA!!!! Where the heck this this comes from? I mean, I remember her saying how she had a song that took you back to chruch on this album. But I had no idea that it would be this intense.... CRAZY!
Mercy On Me - Damn I love this song!!!! Her voice sounds impeccable on it... just flawless! Like Josh said earliar, she just sends chills up and down your spine when she sings. And this is one of the many songs on this album that really broadcast her incredible vocals. Also, the meaning behind the song itself is very credible as well. This is just overall a grade A song!
Nasty Naughty Boy - Well I guess when Xtina says she's Still Dirrty, she ain't playing, lol... When she starts moaning and faking the orgasms toward the middle and end of the song, thats when I really get into it, lol. Oh, and the intrumentation throughout this track is sick as well. I love how she had the instruments play off her vocals like that.... Very sexy track
Candyman - I REALLY want this to be a next single. I have read so many fan reactions on this song, and I just think this would be the PERFECT next single. Seriously, you can't listen to this song and not wanna tap your feet, and/or clap your hands and just think of pure perfection. With that infectious beat, and those killer vocals, this made for another outstanding track on B2B! I just hope it makes for an outstanding second single as well!
Other honorable mentions...
Understand
Without You
Enter The Circus
Hurt
I Got Trouble
Slow Down Baby
Final Thoughts: I do agree when people say that the second disc blows the first out of the water. The first disc does has it's highlights though (i.e Makes Me Wanna Pray, Understand, Without You, etc. etc. etc.), but the second disc is just classic! This is a GREAT effort put forth by Aguilera, and like Brian said... "Yes, it's a masterpiece!"
*Oh, and I also want to use this time to point out how similar Here To Stay sounds like Beyonce's Crazy in Love (or at least the instrumental)! I wasn't to happy about that, lol!*

After giving it more listens. It IS flled with filler material .
Only "Understand & "Save Me from Myself" are the songs that I keep listening to as they are truely great by all meanings. I skip the rest.
People are just overhyped right now so I excuse them.

There is only one song I didn't like at all in this album and that is "On Our Way" (maybe it'll grow later), the rest of the songs are perfect. I'm really surprised because it's easy to listen to, no overproductions like in Stripped, and her voice sounds better than ever!
The songs i like the most are: "Understanding", "Slow Down Baby", "Oh Mother", "Still Dirrty", "Here to Stay", "Candyman", "Hurt" and "Mercy On Me"

How could one not like this album?
The only song I can consider filler is probably "Oh Mother" because it's a topic that has already been covered.

I'm pretty sure it's capable of selling AT LEAST 3 Million. The majority of Pulse seems to agree.

I think that this album has so many different styles that there might not be any fillers. On other forums a lot of other people love On Our Way, I always skip that song. But I'll probably like that song later as well. I didn't like Cruz at first. Some people think that Makes Me Wanna Pray is a filler and that's def. one my favorites. & somehow there are people that don't love Hurt. They'll probably love it later though. Some people hate Candyman and other can't get enough of it. So basically everyone has songs that they love and songs that they don't.

Slow Down Baby would obviously do very well. Understand, and Hurt would also. Candyman could go either way. & I personally think that Back In the Day could be a hit. That's song is so hot. It sounds so '90s. & her song w/ Diddy could also help sales. That's five songs right there. Fighter and TVW didn't do that well on Billboard. I don't think it matters.

I see what you're saying but this is Christina and she never cared about that stuff. If she did she wouldn't have released Dirrty. Beautiful peaked at #2 (which is very good) and still was a hugely successful w/ Stripped. Having a #1 song doesn't say anything about how good your album is.

Trust me, she does. She just says that. She wants her songs and her album to be successful so lets not go there

I'm not saying that she doesn't. I'm just saying that all her songs don't have to be #1s. & people won't buy an album just because of one song. If the rest of the songs stink then who's going to buy it? This album is amazing. & all the songs that I named should do well on the radio. People doubted ANOM & it peaked at 6 & will probably go top 5 when her album is released. You never know people. All I'm trying to say is to be optimistic.
