Rihanna is obviously comfortable with her body and being nude- we saw her at Fashion Week in Paris with her nips out and that's not even the first time she's done that- how is this different from that? If you think she's gaining something by posing for a French magazine, that most of general public probably doesn't even know about, you're kidding yourself. If she wants to pose nude, that's her prerogative and her right to do as a woman.
