Innocent people die all the time, but being a thug is a choice.
We don't go around calling people we don't know thugs, just like we don't call gay people we don't like ******s or other white people ****s, show a little respect
During a brief press conference, Gov. Nixon stopped short of confirming that the St. Louis County Police Department was being removed from Ferguson, but said that he was working with officials on changes. Nixon promised that residents would see "a much better and much different tone," and to expect an official announcement at 3:00 pm local time. "We're working through an operational shift," Nixon said. "I think you all will see a different tone."
ACLU is tweeting legal information for anyone out there.
It's legal to film police and they can't ask you to show them what photos/videos you took without a warrant.
Here is a situation similar to this where a black man was nearly incarcerated for "resisting arrest", "eluding the police", and "assault to an officer". It really sheds light on officer's justifications to police brutality,
They can literally make up a charge on the spot, and just because you're black, you're not given the benefit of the doubt. Even this man's defense attorney didn't believe him at first. Then the video surfaced from police dashcams that apparently they didn't know existed.
The name of the officer will be released tody. Quote from yahoo "Chief Thomas Jackson told ABC News that authorities will meet later this morning to figure out the best way to release the officer’s name."
