Roar was a smash hit and probably one of Katy's biggest songs. You would think after all that success she would have sold a couple more albums.
Applause debuted with 218k and tumbled down the charts (it is currently gaining popularity now tho) Roar was all over the radio for a long time. So of course people thought it was embarrassing when Katy did poorly first week.
