I don't know what government-funded public school program you're referring to but I was in the gifted program amongst child prodigies and future members of MENSA.

My high-school ending GPA was a damn 4.1, then it sank to a 3.7 (Freshman/Sophomore year), now it has stabilized around the 3.3-3.4 mark for my Junior and Senior years.

In the fall I took Pre Calculus, PLS (Government), Advance English for Argument Essays, and Psychology. I've held on to a 4.0 all my life but my grades respectively were:

I nearly cried cause now my GPA is 3.95.

Dead I had a 3.0 and 2.7 in my 2 semesters Sophomore year It's my first semester junior year now and thank god I'm doing better again, I have a 3.5135 so far with one grade missing.
