Record of the Year is awarded to the artist, producer and mixer.

Song of the Year is a songwriter's award; it's awarded to the songwriters/composers.

I think record of The Year is now Eminem and Rihanna's to lose. its the biggest song of 2010 and this looks to be Eminem's year at the Grammys. He IS definitely walking home with 1 of the Big 3 and I think ROTY is his best chance for LYWYL. I think they will be the usual "grammys" and give ESOM best Rap/Sung over EmRi because of Alicia tho.

Katy isn't eligible. Since she has been already nominated, she would have to still be on her first album to be considered for BNA; she's on her second.

I thought that any artist who was nominated but didn't win was eligible? Or is that only for artists who were nominated prior to their first album being released?
