Sorry for being pessimist about the future of the past.

Born This Way was the type of the album that needed absolutely perfect execution for it to sustain momentum. It had the hyped first single which was good, it had The Fame era which helped up the expectations, it definitely had the promo, but single choices/releases/perhaps music videos just proved to be road bumps it couldn't recover from.

I think it's because I like to put things into perspective. Am I really going to fight with someone because we disagree over something as trivial as music? Let's face it, I may love music, but it's not like you insulted my family
(Oops, shouldn't have said that... Most of the monsters on Twitter are certain Gaga is their mother...)

Exactly. It was a risk from the very beginning.

The mistake I can forgive is Judas. No-one expected that to underperform as it did. Other than that, Y&I was the wrong decision, MTN should not have been so late, TEOG video should have been done properly (that song had #1 potential), she shouldn't have done the whole thing with the horns and the mole...
I guess I'm being critical, but I know she can do so much better, and these aren't even things she can't control. These are just incorrect decisions. Nothing to do with lack of talent or imagination or anything like that, just by disconnecting from the public.

I barely spend any time on Twitter anymore because it's so crazy-monster dominated. If something happens, I like to discuss it rather than automatically praise it. I'll never forget my first ATRL meltdown; the video for TEOG

The radio chart is run by AI. Billboard Pop Songs is spins, Billboard Radio Songs is AI.

Oh, I thought one chart was run by AI, but Pop I knew doesn't run off of AI...

Girl, not even damn Madonna helped it.
I'll just come out when I have financial independence.

Not really the same as coming out, because I'm not gay, but I wasn't feeling hugely confident in myself for a number of reasons. Then came the promotional single that meant so much to me...
HAIR
I know, it's controversial! Some people hate it! For me, it came at just the right time

I still remember the video premiere: I was watching it looking for the mermaids...but there were only stairs

Indeed, especially with her aesthetics in fashion at first. She should have eased into an era like this, not gone all out. But that's neither here nor there anymore.

The thing I remember is getting about halfway through and then SYTYCD cut it off for an ad break!
Then the real thing came on YT and I was just watching waiting for something to happen...
I waited for 5 minutes, Honey... 5 minutes I waited... And still nothing happened

I know! Her fashion has been flawless lately! If she had kept that up for the whole era, at least some people wouldn't have been immediately put off by the vessel at the Grammys thing!
