Excuse me. Kiss has been hailed by critics as one of the greatest pop albums of he decade.

Even the most highly regarded of masterpieces have duds. Beyoncé has "Pretty Hurts" and "Superpower," OK Computer has "Fitter, Happier," Exile on Main Street has "Turd on the Run," and The Bones of What You Believe has "Science/Visions"

And Kiss has "Beautiful" and "Good Time."

And Blackout only got a 61 but is now hailed by pretty much every critic as Britney's best album. Metacritic doesn't actually have much weight when discussing an album's quality in retrospect.

BASICALLY what I'm saying is that Kiss is Carly's The Bends. Her OK Computer is coming. I Really Like You is her Paranoid Android.

Her album does have some weak tracks. I'm actually representing the album over in the games section and we're actually at a round where we have to eliminate a track from using in the game ever again.

In my honest opinion, Guitar String was the weakest on the album.

SUCH an improvement from the list of co-writers/co-producers on Kiss.

I love Kiss and its bops but it's NOT the magnum opus of pop and I haven't seen that be declared by an reputable person or publication.

Metacritic is not an indication of critical acclaim, just because almost the entire forum uses it doesn't mean that it is.

Also a Metacritic score doesn't show the "quality!" of an album (which is subjective.)

Kiss is a very solid pop album, but it's not a magnum opus. She will put out far superior albums in the rest of the career.

Kiss is simply amazing, probably the best album of the last 5 years (and one of the last decade) since it actually represents what real pop music is. Basically all the tracks sound amazing, and even those which are not as impressive as the others (More Than A Memory or Hurt So Good, imo) still sound very good. The fact is that Carly released a true gem back in 2012, and I love her and her sound so much.

the album version is atrocious when compared to the godsend EP version i agree, but still a cute track.

anyway i think everyone here agreed that "Kiss" is an solid and good pop record which is what actually matters

You mean Tonight I'm Getting Over You, Guitar String/Wedding Ring, and Your Heart Is a Muscle? How dare you. TIGOY is basically GOAT, Guitar String is a grower, and YHIAM is KIND OF better written than anything any of her annoying ~☼~☆~serious~☆~☼~ singer-songwriter contemporaries have put out.

I've replaced the album version of Curiosity with the EP version on my iTunes. I refuse to acknowledge the existence of that travesty.

The only bad song on Kiss is Beautiful, and even then it's still cute. It's literally the best pop album of it's year. At least for me, anyway.
