I kind of get what she was trying to say, but she worded it in a wrong way. She, as a lot of people do, lacks selfconfidence because of her mental problems, and I understand that if you have overcome an eating disorder, speaking on the pressure society puts on people (especially women) is very important to help and end it, but a lot of girls in the squad (I'm talking about Taylor and Selena at least) are naturally thin, and they can't do anything about it, so it's not their fault. The fact is that no one should choose if they're friends with someone because of their weight. But I kind of get that Demi feels angry at people who "promote" (I don't think it's the right word) being thin because of what she had to suffer in the past. That being said, there's not only one type of body that is normal, they all should be, whether you weigh more or less.

Besides that, I totally agree on the Katy Perry part -calling yourself a feminist and then making a song where you put another woman down just because of a disagreement that happened in the past is so petty...

Just like if you read the WHOLE ROLLINGSTONG interview THEY ASKED Taylor about EACH OF HER SONGS. She also just did not bring up "Bad Blood", she talked about EVERY SONG.

Now hopefully EVERYONE understands.

I find it ironic that the same people who still drag taylor 2 years later for doing an interview about HER album. Are the same people supporting Demi 2 years later for talking about it in an interview, it's okay. she was asked and she answered. Double standards much.

The fact that you said #teamkaty then said Demi didn't just bring it up, she was asked, means you are supporting demi here for simply answering a question that was asked. That's is all fine. But you cannot then turn around (without being a hypocrite) and bash Taylor for doing the same thing, answering a question in an interview. Understand now? Taylor was asked and she also answered, she did not bring up bad blood she was talking about her album in a Rolling Stone Cover interview which included ALL SONGS on 1989. Some try to make it seem she did an exclusive Bad Blood song interview with Rollingstone and that was not the case.

Demi wasn't body shaming them. She was basically saying they have perfect bodies and for a lot of girls that is not realistic and that people shouldn't feel bad if their body isn't perfect.

I dont get the logic. Some of you are trying to say she wasnt body shaming by saying they dont have "normal" bodied but that itself is shaming them for their bodies. Each of then works out and has the body they have because of it, same as Demi who spent like 5 years trying to look how she looks now. The only difference is her thighs are thicker, but so what? What gives you the right to say girls without curves isnt a "normal" body type? Sorry, her statement isnt right. She's just basically telling those same little girls that she thinks shes standing up for that being skinny isnt normal, which is stupid

So what are these women supposed to do? Purposely make themselves overweight when they're naturally thin? Never go in public so they don't trigger people with self image issues? Our efforts would be better focused on building up young people to be self assured and confident, so they're not so fragile to the sight of a thin person.

She's the butt of everyone's joke atm. I wish Demi avoided the question and refrained from kicking her on her way down but I guess she couldn't resist- seeing as she's always resented Taylor for some reason or the other.

LOL @ the people who dislike it when celebrities share their unfavourable opinion about other celebrities. So every dick and tom is allowed to call taylor a white feminists, white devil and a snake but Demi couldn't call her out? The hypocrisy is unreal.

Her comments about their body isn't shaming. She is right. It's unrealistic and awfully unhealthy to be that thin. She is insecure about her body, but I'd trust that due to her ongoing struggles she's getting the education about body TYPPPPEEEES and healthy eating.

But yeah, I get what she's saying about the image of Taylor's squad. Blonde, tall, supermodel like but whatever. If that's her friends then that's her friends. I think Demi is just really obsessed with calling others out. Unnecessary. And feminism isn't about all women getting along. Bad Blood was a **** move, but it had no correlation with gender equality.
