2. Maya Angelou
One of the most iconic, respected Americans ever. While she is no longer here with us, she made it clear during her life that she was in complete admiration of Hillary Rodham Clinton. She spoke on her behalf many, many times. Starred in ads for her. She said something particularly warm and powerful with "I watched her show what it was like to be a woman in stress. In difficulty. I watched her as she was on the front pages of every journal in the world. And I watched her STAND." #MakeMeProudToSpellMyNameW-O-M-A-N
Also, I just want Hillary to release the transcripts. I mean, I highly doubt she said anything that bad to a group of people knowing a possibility of a leak. Her team is just being stubborn at the lack of transparency by all candidates and the different standards she's being held to. But meh, just release.
Theres probably nothing bad BUT a lot could potentially be spun/twisted to sound bad, especially since she'd probably be pandering to those businesses.
1. Gloria Steinem
THE Gloria Steinem. Fearless women's rights activist. Legend. Leader of a civil rights movement. One of the most important women in American history.
“I’ve been meeting with unionists, independents, progressive Democrats,” Sanders explained via satellite from Columbia, South Carolina. “And they are tired of being abandoned by the national Democratic party. They want some help, and they believe that with some help they can start winning in these conservative states.”
One cause for concern, Sanders explained to Schultz, was seeing many white, working-class voters in “low-income states” like Georgia, Alabama and South Carolina voting against their own best interest.
“These are guys getting hung up on gay marriage issues,” Sanders told Schultz. “They’re getting hung up on abortion issues. And it is time we started focusing on the economic issues that bring us together: Defending Social Security, defending Medicare, making sure that Medicaid is not cut, that veterans’ programs are not cut.”
White House hopeful Bernie Sanders, who is making a spirited but improbable bid to catch Hillary Clinton in the race for the Democratic nomination, said Wednesday that having so many Southern states vote early in the process “kind of distorts reality.”
I'd love to see this photo of Bernie at this trans rally.
It's a hoax but he's still the only candidate to have vocalized anything about the rights of trans or gender nonconforming people all election season so
