i'm guessing this has been mentioned 100 times before, but just in case -

either find a way to have the current avi size files (or bigger) or scrap the beta, because girl we are supposed to be moving into the 21st century with this update, not further back into the 90s than the forum features already are.

It is kinda confusing, why can't the avatar setup from here still be fully functional on beta?

We're using a whole new server over on the beta.

The size limit is probably not gonna stick, and if it does, you can still link an image for it probably after it's fixed before the public launch.

The software there is different and it doesn't handle avatars like vBulletin does.

I don't like the front page
The current front page where you can see both most popular and most recent threads is so much better seeing the header in larger font with gifs in them. It looks "pretty", but it has no function whatsoever
