We believe there'll be Sun and Moon because Directs never 100% stick to their description, and they just announced the games with nothing as much as a trailer, there'll surely be something there.
Pokemon Niji directly stood for Pokemon Rainbow and were presumably the codenames of Sun & Moon.
Because Sun & Moon are already announced Like maybe we'll get the exact release date but I don't see us getting starters or legends yet.
I can't see us getting nothing though. XY was announced in January and we got it in October. It's the same amount of time as the S&M announcement till Holiday 2016. But we got a full trailer with starters, legendaries etc in January for XY.

Would anyone be here for a praying mantis split bug/ghost (male) and bug/dark (female) pokemon?
a pre evolution of just bug would evolve after breeding, with males becoming bug/ghost (due to them being eaten by the female) and the female becoming bug/dark (pretty dark to eat your mate after woohoo)
Females would be more attack based and males more defensive
