I guess so...

The weird thing is, even though I know it sounds like a sh*tload of bs, I know that friends is the most we're ever gonna be, and since I'm not an intimacy/relationship kinda person anyway, it's all that I want... I find the idea of being intimate with him practically offputting. Of all the people I hang out with, though, I'd rather spend time with him, and we've never actually properly done that.

to be fair I did get a threadban lifted once. It was SERIOUSLY undeserved though.

I think it really depends on who deals with it, sometimes you'll get a mod who may not like you and will let that cloud their judgement.
