Dark Horse got his pre-order effect like a week after its release, so who knows, the same might happen with Venus, or there's simply much more competition for Venus than there was for DWUW.

1D have their song charting TWICE in the US top5, that's how MASSIVE their pre-order boost is, but people (not even the haters, but Gaga's own stans from the DWUW team) will still call Venus a "flop" for not passing them.

Of course I'm happy when Gaga slays the charts but don't ever forget Bad Romance never made it to No. 1 in the US and is still considered one of her biggest and best songs.

I will forever prefer Venus over DWUW. Eventhough I love both songs.

Telephone also never hit #1 but it is still one of my all time favourites
Also we should be happy with whatever we get and whatever something does, it is out of our hands anyways, we can support by buying and streaming and that's it, there is only so much people can do.
