I like your logic and I kinda agree. But IMO PRISM's lows are lower than TD's lows (does that make sense?) So while PRISM is a great pop record, TD is still her best album for me.

I can't imagine what song(s) would be more grating than Who Am I Living For? though, or the production of Circle The Drain.
HH was the only thing "Tricky" Stewart got right on that album, and even then that song is only as good as it is because of Katy's extended metaphor lyrics and vocal performance. The production is still average at best.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with BTGOG's production (I'm part of the minority who prefers the bigger chorus to the stripped version) but even then one song doesn't change a whole album.
And PRISM is still relatively cohesive. You can be cohesive and diverse. At worst, it has two cohesive parts.
PRISM > TD > OOTB
She keeps getting better with each album, the way it should be.
The only song I don't like on TD is Peacock. On PRISM I don't like International Smile and to a lesser extent This Is How We Do, Love Me, This Moment and the By The Grace Of God production.

This is also to Sam but my computer has screwed up quoting. An element of cohesiveness, which remains absent from the first chunk of songs (even though the first 6 tracks are amazing), can create a stronger sense of a "body of work". It's not a bad thing and can show listeners that there was that extra level of consideration placed on those small details.
