Billboard: Musicians have long complained that streaming has rendered music virtually worthless. It doesn’t sound like you’re solely driven by financial reasons, but also by a desire to reset the value proposition of music.
Jay Z: That’s correct, absolutely, and when I spoke to every single person involved that’s what I said. Music is … imagine your life without music. It’s a very valuable part of your life, and like I said, that’s why we got in this business. It seems to be going the other way. People are not respecting the music, and [are] devaluing it and devaluing what it really means. People really feel like music is free, but will pay $6 for water. You can drink water free out of the tap, and it’s good water. But they’re OK paying for it. It’s just the mind-set right now.
at him comparing himself to the water someone drinks... like the unwarrented self importance inside that room was disgusting. ill be glad when this bombs
do it and then tell us how good or bad it is, SYG needs an insider
It's good quality. But it seems pretty much like Spotify to me. I really can't tell the difference ATM, except that Tidal's got videos, too. And the layout/styling/etc. is a little different from it. But so far... I see nothing different. Gimme a week to see if I'll cancel my subscription before the 30 day trial runs out or not.

WTF. Not even a large bottle of Evian costs $6. And tap water is good water?! So we're supposed to drink tap water and spend the money we save on a criminal and his pregnancy-faking wife??

The NYC tap water system is literally the best in the country, in Jay's defense. So I understand that comment.
