Was that interview when she said she looked at the greats and they didn't reinvent themselves with each album, rather they embraced their iconography etc. or something?
On one hand I think she should continue referencing the blonde and bangs, but on the other I feel it just looks a bit meh now. She moved on and it now seems too calculated to return.

As iconic, maybe not, but she could certainly introduce more iconic looks. They just need to be handled well.
Most likely it'll be a case of featuring it on a major platform, then repeating it to resonate. It'll be less about the look and more about the association.
