Let's hope these server issues don't come in conflict with the results announcement! I don't think they will... but you never know. ATRL has been CRAZY lately...

I'm not sure how long this thread will be active while the maintenance is going on, so I'm going to announce the winner tomorrow. I don't want to run into any more conflict with ATRL in the fragile state it's in right now, so I'll just play it safe.

 Results will come tonight at 11:59pm (Pacific Standard Time). Just to make sure the major ATRL problems are out of the way and don't affect the announcement again. This is good, though. More suspense!

I seriously cannot believe we've reached this point already! The competition went by VERY quickly from my point of view. It seemed much longer when I was a contestant last cycle.  The biggest point of significance and symbolism for the upcoming winner announcement is that I will be passing along the TOP MEMBER crown, which I've held since Cycle 5! It's a very big ATRL moment for me, and I want the winner to carry on the legacy of Top Member!
Before I announce the winner, I promised I'd reveal the mystery judge. Since there ended up being a substitute mystery judge for the majority of the later rounds, I'll announce both of them.
Please give a round of applause to our two Mystery Judges!
1. The member previously known as HarrySapphire.... Harry!
2. Harry's self-appointed replacement... Deemy!
Harry and Deemy, you both proved quite adept and entertaining in your judging, so I appreciate your contribution! 
With that announced, I think it's time to reveal what the SPECIAL PRIZE is!
I decided from the start of the competition that it wouldn't be enough to just provide the winner with a title and promise of support on ATRL. Yes, those will be included, but I will also be fronting the cost for one ALBUM from iTunes, which will be gifted to the winner of ATRL's Next Top Member! In addition, for making it this far, the runner-up will be gifted 3 songs! You can't argue with free music, can you? Once the winner is announced I will contact each of you directly to figure out the specifics.
Let us now turn to the voting and judges' opinions! Unlike the previous rounds, the results in this final announcement are not determined completely by the voting results. HOWEVER, the public voting and judges' votes do highly influence the final decision!
First, let us review the standing for public voting:
While Deuces. took an early lead, Mitchie ultimately received more votes. I was very surprised to see how few votes were submitted, seeing as I personally sent out over 100 invitations for voting. I'm not sure how much the two of you (Mitchie and Deuces.) campaigned, but ultimately the public voting sort of fizzled out...
The announcement nears....
After discussing who the winner should be with the judges, a decision has been reached! There were a few differing opinions as to what type of winner we'd like this year, but ultimately it's important that the person who claims this Cycle's title be someone who has always given their all and remained true to themselves both in and outside of the competition.
Mitchie: You have proven yourself from the start of the competition to be a sweet member who gave 110% in most of the challenges. Your knack for staying true to yourself as well as the growth demonstrated in the competition really set you apart! You seem to represent a new breed of ATRLer who doesn't feel the need to shade others or wrack up warning points in order to fit in. Instead, you are comfortable interacting with other members and making ATRL a fully enriching experience. You have definitely provided an idea of what being a Top Member means to you, and that is something I respect greatly.
Deuces.: While I wasn't too sure if you'd last in the competition after seeing your submissions for the earlier rounds, you floated under the radar then rose to the occasion and found yourself in the final 2! There is absolutely NO doubt you have become notable on ATRL, and you have experienced ATRL to the fullest. Not everyone finds themselves being both known AND liked on ATRL, and with or without this competition you are going places! In a way, I feel you and Mitchie are polar opposites, but you both help add to the diversity of ATRL. Your iconic username, your sassy posts, and your personality are your strengths!
While both of you have what it takes to take this crown, ONLY ONE member can be crowned ATRL's Next Top Member!

Mitchie!
Mitchie, you have truly brought it in this competition and have remained true to yourself! Congratulations! You are ATRL's Next Top Member. You are only the SECOND female ever to win Top Member, and that is an accomplishment! I think FOXAYLOVE would be proud of you! You also join past winners like JIMMYXCORE, our very own JUDGE MATTY, and £100. You have made a big impact in the competition, now it's time to get yourself out there and make a BIG impact on the rest of ATRL!
Deuces., you performed admirably, but ultimately Mitchie was more consistent. I feel as if you'd have benefitted from opening up a bit more, but there is no doubt you are an incredible member and have already begun to impact others on the site! As they always say, when one door closes another opens! This is not the last we will see of you.
And that, folks, wraps up another SUCCESSFUL season of ATRL's Next Top Member! Thank you to everyone who contributed in making this one of the best Cycle's yet! We weren't without drama (Top Member wouldn't be complete without it!), but we managed to make it through with only minor bumps in the road! See you next time!

Congratulations, Mitchie!!!! Was rooting for her from the very beginning. She's one of the sweetest and most down to earth members here. She was a total underdog and did absolutely incredibly throughout this. I loved getting to know her in this competition. Now, she's one of my favorite members. Congrats, girl. You deserve this

You were AMAZING!!!!! If you had won, I would have been just as happy. You are also an amazing member and you also deserved this title. Congratulations on making the final 2. That's a huge deal. I mean, look at Adam Lambert. I'm so happy for you and I loved getting to know you in this competition. You've also become one of my favorite members.

Lol, I noticed that with you for sure, and I have no doubt Deuces will follow a similar path, but concerning other Cycles I think the winners have become more notable.

Wow!  Yay! So far, 2011 has been the best year for me here in ATRL. 
Deuces, you’ve done amazingly great too throughout the competition! We may not have any single conversation but I admire you for being such a fierce competitor. You’re a great member and I’m glad to know more about you in this competition!

Btw, I know that this has been the 6th Cycle of Top Member and I just like to share that 6 has always been my lucky number. Also, Jordin won the 6th season of American Idol.
