Music wise, Xpired was Demi's predecessor. Their teen pop stuff was cute and harmless, but then when they tried being a "real artist!!11!" they started making endless cringey, filler ballads that shows off their screaming vocals rather than their emotion. Both of them have less good albums combined than Ariana Grande.
Like Paula, Christina jump started her career ripping off a another popgirl's shtick (Janet for Paula and Britney for Xtina).Their debuts even sold around the same in the US. Their follow ups sold around the same too, and Rush Rush was considered risky for her just like Dirrty for Xtina. After those 4 years, they declined and had a mediocre Platinum era and then bombed only to revive their relevance with constant Reality TV seasons.
Most of us only knew Paula because of American Idol, and this newer generation is the same with Xtinct.
Their talents got the same treatment too. Both big talents, but still not enough to cut it to roll with the big guys. Janet isn't seen as MJ/Janet's league in dancing and Xtina isnt seen in Mariah/Whitney and even Beyonce's league.
I never understood why Myth X fans keep saying her situation is like Mariah's flopping era. Even when Mariah was flopping, that generation still knew her so she had a market to exploit at least. Myth X is generally unknown so no matter how good she looks or whatever, no one will turn their heads for her except her fanbase. Not even to critic here or anything. She's just a non factor. Her comeback is less likely than Faga's.

nnn ATRL just can't admit it's weak after almost everyone for a brief moment lost their **** when it leaked and thought it's gonna be a huge smash. up until it peaked at #4 on iTunes, but the embarrassing predictions were already posted.
It's wonderful how my 2nd fave, Adam LORDvine, sits on the Voice panel as well, but unlike the hoe who sits two seats over, he actually has a career to get to once the filming sessions are done.
And he's such a saint for providing D.M.F. with his most overused Xpired receipt.
