All of this + she kind of gets her foot back on for a second after she stumbles, making her think she's back on track (Dark Horse).
Just watched Firework's MV again because of Dylobs' thread and man, everything about that song is so underrated/overlooked among the Kats because it achieved the success we'd rather another of her songs did.
The song is so amazing really and the message is on point. There are so many empowerment anthems which just aren't up to par. Raise Your Glass is a party song for weird, unpopular kids (that would never be at a party anyway) and Born This Way is so in-your-face and blunt and is kind of uncreative in that way. WRWWR is a bit like RYG in that way but it's message isn't so limited to misfits (and is a better party song anyway).
The metaphor of a Firework is so strong and makes for a fantastic chorus and is relatable to anybody and doesn't just single out one kind of "misfit" or anything like that.
Plus the music video is amazing. She looks so young and hot in it, too. And how she flew out all of those fans >
