I believe she and/or the label thought/hoped to turn BB into a huge hit as it was basically OSD with a 2000s sound.

I've also seen a CBS-released international edition of debut, with black lettering on a gold spine. Also, her name was in gold on the cover instead of the familiar white. It was somewhat tacky but still rather attractive in a dated early 90s way.
Would any North American Lambs be interested in owning a rare Japanese Music Box lyric pamphlet? It's almost entirely in Japanese tho () except for a short "handwritten" note from Mariah to her Japanese fans.

Speaking of international versions, it seems some of the Japanese versions of Emotions are purple instead of the normal coloring (I found these pics on Yahoo Auctions), the backs appear to still be normal though
Migrate should have been the first single to begin with then
TMB as the second single and
Side Effects as the third single.
They could have let the album fade out with FTR as single #4.
with that kind of singles slayage, she the album would have gone double platinum, probably triple platinum and she would now tie the beatles for most #1's.

also Obsessed needed to be folowed by It's a Wrap or BGK and not IWTKWLI.. how the song reached 22m impressions and peaked at what it peaked is a miracle cause the US ain't her for 80's remakes.
