Oh no I definitely know Mariah's double meaning for honey.
For mine its a little different, its more like love turning into something liquid but still kind of thick so it doesn't flow as easily as it should. I was thinking that could tie into the heartbreak theme too because the narrator thinks things are going sweetly but the person who is leaving them thinks differently.
