Lana's a buffoon. She had a STRONG base and her 2nd album as extremely anticipated. She literally was in such an enviable position. Talked about and supported in all the right places. One of the most looked forward too acts on the festival scene. And she screwed it all up.

lana did kind of destroy her own career. i mean all of the tragic performances and then making a rock album when 99.9% of her base are pop fans

if her discography went BTD - HM - UV she would be in a much better place, but UV kind of killed all her momentum even if it wasnt a total flop

True, she could've used the time to build her base back. I think she can still do it, but it's gonna take a return to her old sound in addition to an effective promo campaign, STRONG lead and the videos have to get back on par. HBTB was such an anti-climactic lead.

i dont think she cares at this point. i mean she said shes done touring, and she obviously doesnt care to promote her music at all (performances, good/high budget videos) so i dont see her doing anything that different for her next album

but i do feel like the gap between HM and the next one will be way longer, like 3 years probably

not shocking, there was literally no hype before or during the era

i mean even if UV was a ~flop~ the promo singles charted and all got 10M+ views on youtube...cant say the same for honeymoon
