I
loved this. Had a total blast (though, yeah, some of the humor is definitely a miss. Not too much, ad never too painful, but) It's a lot of fun, it definitely keeps me guessing on the killer so far (I am positive one of the Chanels is involved, but then they'd need an accomplice and I'm not totally sure who to suspect there), and I think a lot of the humor works. I like the campy style to it.
Favorite characters were easily Chad and Cathy. Glen Powell is KILLING it as the preppy douchebag and stealing almost every scene he's in, and Jamie Lee Curtis is having a blast in her role and it totally shows. I'd say her second best horror role behind H20 Laurie so far. Love these two.
Hester is gold too, but she hasn't been in it too much. She DID have a hilarious scene at the start of ep 2 though. Also loving Zayday (sassy, some fun lines, but still likeable. She'd kinda be the perfect final girl for something like this), mixed feelings on Chanel. She is... inhumanly bitchy, and while I kinda love her for it, I feel like we are getting WAY too much of her. There is nothing redemptive about this girl, but she's
the lead and it doesn't totally work for me. I think I'd like her more and she'd be better suited to being a major supporting character like Madison was, and it really makes me appreciate Madison's usage a lot more. She never wore out her welcome, whereas I think I'll be burnt out of Chanel in, like, two episodes if that (provided her screentime isn't cut back on)
And I really, really doubt that
Boone is the killer. Besides the fact that episode 2 is way too early to reveal a killer, Nick Jonas is in 5 episodes and was originally contracted for 1. He probably faked his death for safety or something
EDIT: Oh, and survivor hopes-
Zayday as the final girl
Chad
Cathy
Probz Hester, tho girl is a bit crazy
Chanel Oberlin needs to die. Horribly. She's fun, but MAN what a bitch.
