The songs aren't the problem though. The lack of radio support, promo, and Epic budget are the issues.

HTNGU might not have been #1 even with all that stuff ( I admit, I was wrong. It doesn't even sound like it would've deserved it anymore anyway) but there is no reason why it couldn't have gone Top 10.

RNR is currently out of the Top 300 on iTunes. The song can't be that horrible that it falls that hard. Nobody knows about the song or cares about Avril at this point. A ton of events led to this but it can certainly be fixed, Epic (and Avril) just need to get their act together.

I still don't get why we have to wait until April 2013 for the era to start, when she had the album ready like a year before that. It's not like they were preparing her comeback or anything

They need to put the album for pre-order at least on Amazon, ASAP

Hopefully... Epic records is probably so dumb that they will undership the album in Japan.

The mess they are doing with Sean Kingston's new album It's out in 4 days & the CD version is still not up to pre-order on Amazon. Only the mp3 He will sell like 2K first week.

Tamar Braxton's album is doing quite well tho (at least in US)

That's not how it works! The song is available for stations to add on a particular date and the station executives choose whether or not to add it. No one choosing to add Avril because there's no good reason to.

And no, the song is not Top 50 on Pop radio. I'd be surprised if it were top 60.

I think it's mostly because most of the original album was scrapped. I mean, looking at the tracklist, only "Bad Girl", "Hello Kitty" (which I think is because she talked about them so much that they just had to) and "Hush Hush" are from the first crop of sessions we got from this record (after the Runners, anyway). The rest were written with JKash, so they must've been written around the time of HTNGU, and maybe a little bit after that song was released.
