SoundScan doesn't count the back alleys behind gay bars, so neither does Mediatraffic, which means Artpop has probably sold about 5 million worldwide!!
Those two albums have no relation other than their titles. If you listen to both TMM LP 1 and then 2, you'll see they're two sonically different albums. He should've gave it its own separate title as LP 1 was simply a masterpiece.
"The Real Slim Shady", "Stan", "The Way I Am" >>
bruh
It all had to do with marketing...i was talking about the title and because it references the original album...ppl thought it was him going back to his roots
And it is a better album than Relapse and Recovery...thats why ppl tend to like it more
First there was Lisztomania, a term used to describe fan reactions to the concerts of 19th-century Hungarian composer and virtuoso pianist Franz Liszt. Then, a century later, Beatlemania erupted during the 1960s to describe the frenzy surrounding British rock band The Beatles. Today, we have Lordemania.
Lorde, this year’s chart-topping electro-pop songstress, strutted onto the Cal Coast Credit Union Open Air Theatre stage to deafening screams from a sold-out female-dominated crowd Friday night. Touring in support of her 2013 debut album, "Pure Heroine," and its Grammy-winning hit, “Royals,” the New Zealand teenager brought her songs to life with a confident live performance — her first in San Diego.
Throughout the hour-and-15-minute show (which included tracks from her debut, a Bon Iver cover, and the new Hunger Games single, "Yellow Flicker Beat"), there were three costume changes, bubbles filled with dry ice, and confetti cannons shooting out Lorde-branded squares of tissue paper.
Singing to vocal and instrumental backing tracks, Lorde's vocals soared.
Ascending to major headliner status at a young age, she's a fascinating performer to watch — alternating between "beyond her years" one moment to infectious childishness the next.
"I turn 18 in about a month I think," professed the dark-haired singer-songwriter as she talked about the inspiration behind her song, "Ribs." "And it feels kinda crazy because I don't know where the time has gone."
"Just wait," a woman chaperoning her teenage daughter yelled back at the stage.
Showing genuine affection for her fans, Lorde gushed: "I feel really lucky that I get to hang out with groups of people like you, you're people I would want to be friends with."
90sdonna is my favorite popstar. It just about edges out 00slyie for me.
It's funny I don't care for that Madonna because in a way that's the original BTW concept and the concept of BTW is insufferable. I'm just glad Gaga didn't do a sex book.

But I agree...old school Em all day
It is not a better album than Recovery
And that's why it should've been given a completely new title since the title was, in fact, the only thing referencing the two albums. It was supposed to be a "sequel", of sorts but I never heard the correlation. But I only liked a couple of songs from TMM LP 2 while LP 1 is still in my car and will be played from time to time.
Can we talk about how we need more songs like The Way I Are and Promiscuous? Can we talk about how Timbaland can pull songs better than all our faves combined?
