They're afraid to go too far thinking its gonna look like some graphic design contest thing which is wrong because you make it amazingly simple by choosing a font that doesn't overpower a photo and give a little coloring and subtle effects to the photo to make it pop more.

I agree with the font choice. The font for Femme Fatale is just over the top. It would be better if it was smaller, but it just takes away from the image.

The font choice isn't bad, for me the fading in the font makes it look tacky and awful, and since its so big it makes the cover look bad as well...

Yeah, agreed. But it'll still be a mess if it wasn't.

But then again, I also disliked the Circus cover and the title at first. But now it's one of my faves.

I don't want safe covers though.

It's not even the creative design part...okay the font is hidious, but they picked a bad picture in my opinion. Surely this wasn't the best picture from the outtakes? I'm sorry anyone who says that picture is flawless need some eyes. it's frustrating to see an amazing art for the single HIAM, but such a bad selection for the album. I just don't understand her team at all.

I think it's just something to get used to. Just like the Blackout and Circus covers. When I first saw the Circus cover I was horrified because it looked more like a country album cover than what could have been a very creative cover having to do with a Circus. But overtime I got used to it. I still don't prefer as much as say the In The Zone cover but I think you get what I mean...

Everyone has different eyes, what they saw as flawless was seen as a bad photo to us.... to me I thought it wasn't bad, She just didn't have a neck and the little bags Or heavy makeup not blended below her eye...
