E MO TION was already pretty commercial, it's just radio hates Carly. But that would be amazing. Sans I Really Like You, this is the perfect example of a mature and accessible pop album. Who can't relate to all of those relationship and love-driven songs?

Also that line from Roar about stinging like a bee is tragique, but I do like the boxing reference; get those str8 coins tbh.

Edit:I think that we'll have to compromise in terms of lyrics in songs. If we want emotional, sincere songs like By The Grace Of God which have cliches in them, we're most likely gonna get Roar's as well. Oh well. I think BTGOG + R > Neither

She is, however, yet to prove her artistic credibility in the eyes of music critics and the GP. I wouldn't mind another generic pop era but it really would add nothing to her career and imo would just be a waste of 2-3 years of her career (writing, recording, releasing, promoting and touring).

the GP believes in her (see the +200M gross)

and i really hope she doesn't give a **** about the critics

we've seen artists trying to "win" the critics and ending up without a career


another pop era = 2 more #1's (at least), a few more billion videos, another 200M tour, more 10-million sellers

I'm okay with either but I'd personally prefer a noticable change that flops than another Teenage Dream. It's not to say that TD wasn't amazing, which it was, but I want to see what else she can do. If it's unsuccessful then, oh well
