As someone who went to both, there's nothing to feel sorry for.

Ok, well if you guys think it's an album, then I guess Gaga does have an objectively good album. Happy?

Didn't went to either the artrave or prismatic tour
Both were like a few minutes away, but the artrave just looked cheap and tacky and I'm not here for Katheryn's live vocals

So wait, the question essentially comes down to whether TFM is an album, for you?
Understandable, I guess.

And let's not forget that Sarah is going with government agencies, while Gaga was going with the private industry - which has yet to produce a successful flight ever.

Hey Retro. Well yeah, TFM is a solid piece of work. Definitely something that could be called "objectively good". I just wouldn't call it an album, but that's just me.

The artRAVE was the opposite of cheap and tacky. I don't know why her tours don't photograph well, though. The BTW Ball was the same way.
I had an amazing time at both shows, but seeing both put into perspective that one of the girls is a natural-born performer who can kill it and command an audience with nothing but her talent while the other needs just about every gimmick a show can throw at you in order to keep you watching.
Though I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't like to see a Gaga tour with the production of The PWT. Imagine how elevated Gaga's raw performance abilities would be if she amped up her production? I think the BTW Ball was really the only tour she's had that had massive production.

Gaga's best tour was The Monster Ball. The energy, the story, the visuals, and the music converged in a way most performers never reach.

Am I the only one who's like obsessed with super-throwback remixes of her songs? Like, Born This Way's Twin Shadows remix or Bad Romance's Grum Remix. They're just so 80's and I love it.

Eh, TMB was only magical because it was the first time most people saw her. Overall the staging was basic and the production wasn't all that great (though that could be blamed on them rushing from theaters to arenas).
Now the BTW Ball, on the other hand, I don't think she'll ever top the sheer mega-production that thing was. I don't think I'll ever be over her not filming a DVD before getting hurt.

But like, that's what made TMB so great. It wasn't BTW, it wasn't Prism, it wasn't a Madonna tour, it wasn't the 360 Tour, and yet the woman front and center on that stage commanded so much presence and energy, in such an expertly calculated way, that you barely noticed when you were actually there. She didn't need to be excessive in her performing to kill it. Of course I still have great respect for her later two tours and their technical merits, but TFM felt so different from anything else.
I mean, really - most other performers out there couldn't ever have pulled off the Monster Ball with the materials Gaga had at her disposal (or at all, let's be straight-up here).
And that makes me think - it really is her attitude and her persona that makes her such a brilliant performer.

Well, I saw them both through livestream & the concert dvd and the artRave looked so cheap in comparison.

BTWB is the definition of "had to be there." Photos and videos make it seem really bizarre and convoluted, but it slayed so damn hard. It was so intricate and well put together. artRAVE was better than it seemed in videos but I preferred BTWB.

It also had the new outsider factor she won't have again. Despite being the biggest star in the world, it was so new that it feel really indie in a weird sort of way. I agree - her best concert tour ever. That damn "Monster" at the end slayed. It recorded so well for the HBO special too.

I dunno in person it felt actually great and not cheap at all, the runways made it very elaborate. Sure probably had less props then her other tours (I assume) but actually seeing it I didn't even think about it at all.
Sorry I would not spend 85 euro to be placed in an arena sized day care facility.

And that's why she can entertain whether she's on stage with a monster, an old man, or just her piano. Watching other tours and people trying to replicate what comes naturally to Gaga is kind of funny.
