I really believe she wants to get behind the RH performance, and take a break from performing.. (the NBA All-Star Game performance was already scheduled).
But she's good at performing, and within the week of release for the album, I'm sure she'll do plenty of promo in many interviews. YM doesn't get it wrong in this department.. I mean, Drake was even interviewed by Chelsea Handler on Take Care's release week.

She's not taking a break from performing. She's gonna be on American Idol next week.
