The thread should either allow all shock-humour jokes or none. I don't like this pick or chose method of what is deemed "offensive" because then people will just stick to the same old drags because they're scared that saying something other than a bleach or hip joke will get them points.
Why shouldn't the thread be crude? Is that not the whole point?
